Red Cedar Hat - Digital Pattern
The Western Red Cedar is one of the most prevalent tree species in my native home state of Oregon. The scientific name Thuja plicata literally means “folded in plaits” or “braided,” referencing the braid-like pattern on each of the tiny needles. This served as the inspiration for this cap’s Latvian braided detail. This cap was designed to keep the wearers’ ears toasty whether walking to work on a misty morning in the city, or by the campfire on a chilly evening under the stars
Thank you so much for your support of Red Cedar. Be sure to check out the matching slippers! I cant wait to see your slippers! Please use the tag #redcedarhat to share with me on instagram! Seeing your yarn choices and watching your progress is the greatest joy. Happy knitting!
