Anesidora Shawl - Digital Knitting Pattern
I’m so excited to bring you a new countdown/advent/scrappy pattern for this holiday season! I had to take a break in 2021 since I was in the final stretch of writing my book and I jumped at the chance to create this gorgeous piece to pair with the Plies & Hellhounds Pandora Myth themed countdown box.
Anesidora is an alternative name for Pandora of the famous Pandora’s Box myth. The name itself means “sender of gifts” which feels seasonally appropriate during the season of giving. The pattern lends itself well to any size kit or scrap stash and all the fringe is made from the ends, so this is a NO ENDS WONDER!
Thank you so much for your support of my patterns. Please use the tag #anesidorashawl and #larkspurknits to share with me on instagram! Seeing your yarn choices and watching your progress is the greatest joy. Happy knitting!

COLOR LAYOUT
For this shawl, there are lots of ways to customize and create something that works for your yarn and style.
Scrappy
For a 24 20g mini set or scraps
Fully scrappy from end to end
Semi Scrappy
For 150g of fingering plus 12-24 20g minis
Has one main color used for repeat rows 1-2 and 5-6 with a contrasting mini used for repeat rows 3-4 in the lace
Two Color
For 2 115g skeins of fingering
Uses one color for repeat rows 1-2 and 5-6 with a contrast on repeat rows 3-4 on side one, and swaps on side 2. Gives the shawl a half and half look where each color is more dominant on one side.
Combo (as shown in sample)
For a 12-24 set of minis plus 100g fingering skein
Uses the “scrappy” sequence on side 1 and then the “semi scrappy” sequence on side 2 for a half and half look
If opening 24 minis over the month and then a 100g skein on the final day, you would knit half the shawl over the course of the month and finish after the advent is over
